Fayni The Fairy

This picture represents how it felt to read as a kid. I'd get so lost in books that I couldn't hear or see anything in front of me. It truly felt like I'd disappear from reality and go to the universes in the books. Here's a how-to guide written by Raphael in the picture.

Hey there! So, I'm gonna tell you all about this place called Reading Land. It's like having a movie in your head, but even better 'cause you're the director!

First, find a cozy spot, like a super comfy chair or a secret nook. I read outside in my hammock! Next, grab a book that you really, really like. It can be about superheroes, dragons, or anything that makes you excited. Open the book and let the adventure begin!

Imagine the words are little magic spells, and as you read, they create pictures in your mind. Slowly, the real world around you will fade away, and you'll enter Reading Land. It's like stepping into a different universe!

Picture the characters, their faces, their clothes, and how they move. Imagine the places they visit and how they smell. Maybe you can even hear the sounds of the story, like the clashing of swords or the roar of a magical beast. You're the boss of this movie, so make it as awesome as you want!

As you keep reading, you'll get lost in the story. Time will fly by, and you won't even notice Dad calling for dinner! You'll feel like you're right there with the characters, fighting villains or solving mysteries. It's like having superpowers that let you travel to different worlds, all from the comfort of your own mind. You can visit Reading Land anytime you want, as long as you have a great book and a bit of imagination. Maybe you've already gone to Reading Land? Anyways, it was fun chatting with you, but I've got to get back to reading, and Harry and I are about to fight Voldemort!

Mushroom Town

This image reminds me of when I lived in an apartment building as a child. We used to get in all sorts of trouble with my sisters. I wrote a short story about one of those shenanigans.

Me and my little sister Mary live in a tall building on floor number five with our other little sister Amie. One day, we got a funny idea to throw our cuddly toys out the window to see what would happen. Some fell in a tree, and some went splat on the ground! When we were done, we reached down to grab them but they were too high up. Then we saw Laden down below. Maybe he could throw them up to us? We asked politely if Landon could throw them up, but he couldn't because we were too high.

What are we gonna do now?

I know, another day in school me and the class learned all about fires. The firefighters taught us how to make a special rope using blankets! All you do is tie them together and you have a long rope. Hopefully it's long enough to send Amy down to get our cuddlies back! I drew up a plan and told Mary and Amy how we were gonna get our toys back.

Step one: we tied all the blankets in our room together. Step two: I tied one end of the blanket rope to our bed, and the other end I tied to our little sister Amie. Step three: Amie’s going to jump out of the window with the rope. “Ok Amie, on the count of three you're gonna jump ok?” “One, two,” The door in our room swings open before I could say three our mom came in and grabbed Amie! “What on earth are you girls doing?” She told us it's not safe to do things like that and we should always ask a grown-up for help. But even she couldn't reach our toys from that high! So I made a new plan: Step one: take the slide from the playground. Step two: tie it to the window Step three: slide down to the ground to get the toys back.
